Birth of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is born in Makkah into the tribe of Quraysh, in the Year of the Elephant.

Muhammad ibn Abdullah ﷺ was born in Makkah into the clan of Banu Hashim of Quraysh. His father passed away before his birth and his mother Aminah passed away in his childhood, so he grew up in the care of his grandfather Abd al Muttalib and then his uncle Abu Talib. Long before revelation, he was known among his people as al Amin, the trustworthy.
