The Hijrah to Madinah

The Prophet ﷺ and the believers migrate from Makkah to Madinah, and the Islamic calendar begins from this year.
Facing danger in Makkah, the Prophet ﷺ traveled with Abu Bakr through the desert to Yathrib, which became al Madinah al Munawwarah, the radiant city. The Hijrah transformed a persecuted community into a society with a home, and Muslims later chose this year to open their calendar.
الهجرة إلى المدينة
يهاجر النبي ﷺ والمؤمنون من مكة إلى المدينة، ومن هذه السنة يبدأ التقويم الهجري.
أمام الخطر في مكة، سار النبي ﷺ مع أبي بكر عبر الصحراء إلى يثرب التي صارت المدينة المنورة. حوّلت الهجرة جماعةً مضطهدة إلى مجتمع له وطن، واختار المسلمون هذه السنة بدايةً لتقويمهم.
