The Treaty of Hudaybiyyah

A truce with Quraysh that seemed like a concession becomes, in the words of the Quran, a clear victory.

Barred from performing Umrah, the Prophet ﷺ accepted a ten year truce at Hudaybiyyah with terms that troubled many companions. The peace that followed allowed Islam to spread more in two years than in the previous nineteen, and Surah al Fath named it a manifest victory.
