The Farewell Hajj
Before more than one hundred thousand pilgrims, the Prophet ﷺ delivers his farewell sermon on human dignity, justice and brotherhood.
In his only Hajj, the Prophet ﷺ taught the rites of pilgrimage and delivered a sermon at Arafat that abolished usury and blood feuds, affirmed the sanctity of life and property, commanded kindness, and declared that no Arab is superior to a non Arab except by piety. The verse announcing the completion of the religion was revealed on that day.
حجة الوداع
أمام أكثر من مئة ألف حاج يلقي النبي ﷺ خطبة الوداع في كرامة الإنسان والعدل والأخوة.
في حجته الوحيدة علّم النبي ﷺ مناسك الحج وخطب في عرفات خطبةً أبطلت الربا وثارات الجاهلية، وأكدت حرمة الدماء والأموال، وأوصت بالإحسان، وأعلنت أن لا فضل لعربي على أعجمي إلا بالتقوى. وفي ذلك اليوم نزلت آية إكمال الدين.
